Facebook Predicts The Future...

Warner Bros.has picked up the screen rights to Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler's upcoming novel "The Future of Us " reports Deadline.


Set in 1996, the story follows a young girl who gets the Internet at home for the first time. When she logs on, up pops a strange website. It's her Facebook profile from 15 years in the future.She and her best friend try to change themselves to fit into or reject their future lives. Subtle decisions drastically influence who they become.

The book hits retail outlets on November 21st 2011

Denise Di Novi will produce the adaptation.

The premise is intriguing enough as a hook but has the potential to be hokey in its execution.

Asher's bestselling first novel called 13 Reasons Why is being developed as a starring vehicle for Selena Gomez
