Shake Down Cruise Report Trek 2

Roberto Orci co-screenwriter of the as yet Untitled Star Trek Sequel told TrekMovie over the weekend  that the script is not yet completed or approved, things won't really get going until director J.J. Abrams finishes the "Super 8" push some time after its June 10th debut.

Orci:"Just been waiting for JJ to be free to really decide if he likes the story and hear his suggestions before we finish the script. Once he says go, we’ll have it in no time. Meanwhile, our outline is detailed enough (70+ pages!) to do some prep :)"

Orci adds that he and Alex Kurtzman have already had meetings with Abrams about the sequel and he has given the duo some "amazing input and ideas".

Abrams himself says we should expect an announcement on the film shortly, one which is likely  to include that he's once again sittin' in the Captain's Chair (though that's still not confirmed as yet).

The sequel still has a June 29th 2012 release date which means it's gonna be a tight schedule from here on out unless the date is pushed back--My guess is, things are actually further along with the prep on Trek 2,  than folks are saying publicly, Just a hunch....A 70 page outline goes a long way....Clearly the team knows what the broad mission will be...
