Variety reports that Joel Silver will help adapt Ben 10, Cartoon Network’s popular action series, into a live-action film; Warner Bros. is the studio currently being sought to distribute the pic. Silver has also expressed interest in making the property into a franchise.
So says Silver:
"I think we have to try something fresh and go at it in a way that stays true to the original material. I have a 5-year-old and a 9-year-old, so it's somewhere between them."
It’s worth nothing that the merchandise for the television series has raked in a good amount of money for Cartoon Network; expect it to skyrocket when the film finally hits theaters.
