John Fithain, President and CEO of the National Association of Theater Owners today stated that “the new VOD service could damage the film business in two significant ways — reduce movie ticket sales and exacerbate piracy by offering an early digital version” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
He isn’t the first to voice concerns about this new service.--Chris Nolan and Jon Favreau are the latest Hollywood directors to oppose VOD
