The story follows the real-life adventures of racecar driver Bill Caswell, who bought a BMW off of Craigslist for $500 and used it to win the World Rally Championship held in Mexico.
Renner will star and co-produce the film with Don Handfield who will also write the screenplay.
When the pic is going to get made is anybody's guess since the actor's sooo busy. He will be seen in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, The Avengers, lend his voice to Ice Age: Continental Drift and is on the run in The Bourne Legacy coming out or is working on in the next 12 months as well as an Untitled Steve McQueen Biopic in the offing.
