Brotherhood Adaptation Gains Traction

A big screen adaptation of David Morrell's 1984 novel The Brotherhood of the Rose is in the works says Deadline.

The espionage tale centers on two orphans who were raised by a CIA operative to be assassins, and find themselves targeted for death.

The tale was also adapted for a TV miniseries in 1989

Morrell also wrote the novel First Blood which gave Sylvester Stallone one of his most popular roles as John Rambo

Ross Katz will helm the film from an adapted sceenplay he wrote with Fred Berger

Paul Brooks will produce

The new film version of  Rose will shoot early next year.
