5 Gals Up For Horizons/Oblivion With Cruise

Five actresses are vying to co-star with Tom Cruise in the sci-fi flick "Horizons" according to Variety

Olivia Wilde Jessica Chastain, Brit Marling Olga Kurylenko and Noomi Rapace will all test for director Joseph Kosinski

Based upon Kosinski's own graphic novel Oblivion which he created for Radical Comics the action is set in an apocalyptic future where most people live high in the sky due to Earth's surface being uninhabitable, a soldier stuck on the ground goes about his job repairing hunter drones which seek out and destroy members of a savage alien race. He soon comes upon a beautiful woman whose craft has crashed nearby and together they set out on an epic adventure.

Collider reports that the pic has two important female roles Victoria who is a Cruise’s partner, professional and sexually and Julia, who he was engaged to before the invasion of Earth. Therfore it's entirely possible that 2 names from the list will do the film in said roles.

You may recall that a similar action was taken recently to find a leading lady for Cruise in in the film adaption of "One Shot" with Rosamund Pike winning out

Karl Gajdusek (Trespass) was hired to rewrite William Monahan‘s (The Departed) adapted script for the film that will be produced by Kosinski, Barry Levine Alwin H. Kuchler and Jeffrey Silver

Filming starts this Fall for July 19th, 2013 bow
