Man Of Steel Finds Perry White

Laurence Fishburne is set to play Daily Planet editor Perry White in Zack Snyder's big budget reboot "Superman: Man of Steel says Variety Fishburne steps into a role previously played on the big screen by the late Jackie Cooper, and more recently, Frank Langella took on the role in Superman Returns.

Fisburne is the first black actor to play the iconic character--anyone who has seen Fishburne as Thurgood knows that he is the perfect choice for this part--playing a man with principals and conviction

Charles Roven, Emma Thomas Deborah Snyder, and Nolan will be producers on the film.

Shooting on the film is presently scheduled to kick off on August 22nd and will run through into April for a June 14th 2013 debut
