Now THR says that scribes J. David Stem David N. Weiss Jay Scherick and David Ronn are back for the sequel and in fact have already turned a first draft of the script to the studio. This makes perfect sense given the date and the large amount of lead-time required for live action/CG hybrids.
Humans Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, and Hank Azaria are expected to return for the sequel.
The first film's producer Jordan Kerner is back as well
