In the film, Moore will play a popular high school English teacher whose personal life pales in comparison to the energy she brings to her teaching. When a promising former pupil returns home after failing as a playwright in New York, she suggests her high school perform his unproduced play.
Kinnear's part is as yet unspecified.
Dan Chariton and Stacy Chariton wrote the script.
Naomi Despres, Robert Salerno Matthew E. Chausse and Ben LeClair are set to produce the indie comedy.
Filming is set vto start in NYC next month,
