The story follows a female emergency operator who, in trying to help a young girl, comes up against a killer from her own past.
Berry wants the role but nothing has been signed yet.
Joel Schumacher will be directing from a script by Thir13en Ghosts and Exit Wounds writer Richard D'Ovidio,
Production aims to begin in February.
