Aaron Eckhart will play Adam Frankenstein in the long gestating comic-to-feature adaptation "I, Frankenstein" says THR

Kevin Grevioux’s story follows the original monster of Victor Frankenstein who is the only force that stands between the human race and an uprising of supernatural creatures determined to overthrow the world. Grevioux, co-created the Underworld film series.

"Collateral" scribe Stuart Beattie, wrote the adapted script and will direct.

Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi, Andrew Mason and Richard Wright are producing.
Shooting kicks off in Australia in January

The pic has a February 22nd 2013 U.S. release set.
