American Wife Gets Big Screen Treatnent

Ron Nyswaner ("Philadelphia," "The Painted Veil") will adapt Curtis Sittenfeld's novel "American Wife" says Deadline.

The story follows the First Lady as she reviews her life on a day in which a scandalous secret threatens her husband’s presidency and their marriage.

It has been speculated that the characters were modelled after former President George and Laura Bush.
