The Avengers: Character Posters, Music & Black Widow....

Marvel has released new character banners featuring the cast of it's superhero team up The Avengers

The banners will appear in theaters nationwide in the coming weeks.

Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans Chris Hemsworth Scarlett Johansson Samuel L. Jackson Jeremy Renner Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgård, and Amanda Righetti star in the May 4, 2012 release

Meanwhile "Captain America: The First Avenger" composer Alan Silvestri will do the score for the Avengers

"This is actually a very unique experience [for me]," Silvestri told Marvel.com. "I've worked on films where there have been a number of stars and certainly worked on films where there have been characters of equal weight in terms of their level of importance and profile in the film, but this one is somewhat extreme in that regard because each of these characters has their own world and it's a very different situation."

"It's very challenging to look for a way to give everyone the weight and consideration they need, but at the same time the film is really about the coming together of these characters, which implies that there is this entity called the Avengers which really has to be representative of all of them together," he added.

"I am just at the beginning stages of all of that right now and it's feeling very good. I am looking forward to seeing the evolution of this film....I think everyone who loves Marvel and their films will especially enjoy this one."

Director Joss Whedon talked to Yahoo about adapting the character's traits for this adventure.

In related news, David Hayter recently talked with FemPop about the Black Widow solo movie script he was working on over a decade ago.

Hayter says "What I tried to do was use the backdrop of the splintered Soviet Empire – a lawless insane asylum with four hundred some odd nuclear missile silos". However the failure of films like "Aeon Flux" nixed the project
