Boilerplate Adaptation Gets Writers

JD Payne and Patrick McKay have been hired to write the script for the comic adaptation "Boilerplate" reports Deadline..

Based on the graphic novel by Paul Guinan and his wife Anina Bennett the story follows a robot built in the late 19th Century robot --Designed for the self-proclaimed purpose of “preventing the deaths of men in the conflicts of nations,” Boilerplate charges into combat during the Spanish-American War and the Boxer Rebellion. they make silent movies, and hobnob with the likes of Mark Twain and Nikola Tesla.
