Ridley Scott sorta explains how "Prometheus" and his 1979 "Alien" are related.
Scott tells the paper that last eight minutes of Prometheus will become “a pretty good DNA of the Alien one.”
Scott on the production- "I’m a great believer in filming the real thing if you can and so I did a lot of building the real thing." Yet he loves "all the tricks, the toys" he used for this film including 3D and computer animation. As a result , he's had "the best time I’ve had in a number of years making a movie."
The studio confirmed to the paper that Sigourney Weaver will will NOT be making a cameo of any kind in the film.
Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron Noomi Rapace Idris Elba Rafe Spall, Sean Harris, Logan Marshall-Green and Ben Foster Kate Dickie star. With Emun Elliott Patrick Wilson and Benedict Wong also in the cast as well.
Damon Lindelof worked with director Scott on the script, which was originally written by Jon Spaihts
Scott is said to have shot both an R rated and a PG-13 rated version of the script.
