Stone Is Lovelace Mom In Biopic

Actress Sharon Stone has joined the cast of Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story says The AP.

The film is based on the events of Lovelace's (Malin Akerman) life depicted in her book Ordeal, delving into the "difficult stuff she went through and overcame," according to producer Wali Razaqi

Stone will play her mother.

Matthew Wilder will direct from his own screenplay,

It isn't known when production will begin, as it is also being reported that Stone will shoot The Mule before working on the biopic

This is not to be confused with the rival biopic with Amanda Seyfried set to play the adult film star called Lovelace

In that pic Merritt Johnson is adapting Eric Danville's biography about Linda Boreman's rise to fame as iconic porn star Lovelace of 1972's "Deep Throat," and her subsequent transformation into feminist, anti-porn activist Linda Marchiano

Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman are calling action on that film
