Asked about the connection to the pic with that of Scott's 1979 "Alien" he says "here's the way to think about it. If you looked at the whole movie, 95% is entirely unto itself. There's 5% that…if you're a fan, and if you look closely you'll spot strands of the DNA, I mean that metaphorically. I'll tell you the great thing…it's way bigger than that, the ideas are way bigger, way more original, and… it's a scary word but way more profound."
Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron Noomi Rapace Idris Elba Rafe Spall, Sean Harris, Logan Marshall-Green and Ben Foster Kate Dickie star. With Emun Elliott Patrick Wilson and Benedict Wong also in the cast as well.
Damon Lindelof worked with director Scott on the script, which was originally written by Jon Spaihts
Scott is said to have shot both an R rated and a PG-13 rated version of the script.
