MIB III Delays Oldboy Remake & Owen Opts Out

Production on Spike Lee’s upcoming "Oldboy" remake has been pushed back to late summer/early fall Variety's Jeff Sneider Tweeted.

The delay is due to star Josh Brolin's press commitments for "Men In Black 3" hitting on May 25th 2012.

Chan-wook Park's original 2003 thriller followed a man seeking revenge against those who kept him in confinement for over 15 years.

Clive Owen and Mia Wasikowska had been offered the role of the villain and the female lead respectively--but Owen decided to pass...just like Colin Firth did...Mia is still attached.

Mark Protosevich wrote the adapted script.

Doug Davison and Roy Lee will produce.
