Oscars '12: The Nominees & More...

The nominees for The Oscars 2012 were announced earlier today by actress Jennifer Lawrence and Tom Sherak, president of the AMPAS.

In a bit of a surprise Hugo leads the field with 11 nominations....While Award season darling The Artist got 10...

Yea! The song from the musical number "Man Or Muppet" from The Muppets got noticed in a field of only 2 nominees...

While I have yet to see Hugo I'm always happy when Martin Scorsese gets recognized...And how about Gary Oldman getting a nod for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy!

For all of the hub-bub over having 10 best pic slots---The Academy Nominates 9 Films for Best Picture
