The film is set in a world covered in snow and ice, the story follows a train full of travelers who struggle to co-exist.
Chris Evans is also in talks to star in the film.
"The Host" director Joon-ho Bong will call action on the film from a script he co-wrote with the original "Oldboy" direector Chan-wook Park, the latter will also produce.
Park will release his own American film debut, Stoker, later this year.
Production on "Snow" begins in March.
