The story centers on an unlikely team of unappreciated middle-aged Texas women, all former high school champs, who challenge the current arrogant high school girls' state champs to raise money for breast cancer prevention.
Brooke Shields, Daryl Hannah, Melanie Griffith, Wanda Sykes and Camryn Manheim star as members of the team.
Susan Seidelman directs from Brad Hennig's script.
Nina Henderson Moore, Seidelman and Hennig will produce the film
Production kicks off Monday in New Orleans.
