The Christian Gossett created comic book is set in an alternate Soviet Union where futuristic technology co-mingles with magical elements--the protagonist is a Red Fleet soldier who goes up against an ex-leader who rules with an iron hand.
Jason Rothenberg wrote the adapted script
Neal Moritz will produce the film.
Warner Bros snatched up the project after Universal Pictures put it into turnaround.
