Cobie Smulders who plays the role of S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Maria Hill in Joss Whedon's "The Avengers" movie showed up on Monday's Late Show with David Letterman to in part show off a clip of her character in action.
The role is the female sidekick of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). In the comics, Hill was the ruthless interim executive director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and was not above blackmailing and bullying superheros to get her way. She was eventually replaced by Robert Downey Jr,'s Tony Stark.
Chris Evans Chris Hemsworth Jeremy Renner Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgård, and Amanda Righetti star in the superhero team up pic for writer/director Whedon.
The film hits May 4th.
