The story,based on Reif Larsen's novel follows a 12-year-old boy (newcomer Kyle Catlett) with extraordinary skills who leaves his family in Montana and takes off on a cross-country adventure to the Smithsonian Museum to receive a prize.
Callum Keith Rennie has been cast as the boy's father.
Jeunet and Guillaume Laurant co-wrote the script.
This film is Jeunet's first English-language effort since 1997's "Alien: Resurrection".
