Roger Donaldson ("Dante's Peak") directs the espionage action-thriller which is based on Bill Granger's novel "There Are No Spies" This has the potential to be a franchise launcher.
Pierce Brosnan would play an ex-Central Intelligence Agency operative who finds himself pitted against his former pupil (Cooper) in a deadly game involving high-level CIA officials and the Russian president-elect.
Shooting is scheduled to kick off in October in Berlin.
