Ritchie Travels To Treasure Island

Director Guy Ritchie is attached to direct a new take on author Robert Louis Stevenson's literary classic "Treasure Island" according to Deadline.



Alex Harakis will write the script which will retain its period setting  but give it a stylized contemporary action blockbuster tempo, much like what Ritchie did in "Sherlock Holmes".

The 1883 book has been adapted into more than 50 TV shows and movies

Ritchie, Lionel Wigram and Kevin McCormick will produce. Paul Greengrass was previously linked with the project.
