Fanning is busy at the moment shooting "Maleficent"
The pic follows James (Olly Alexander), a cynical guitarist who becomes a mentor to Cass (Murray), an American teen who tags alongside he and his singer bandmate as she learns to play the guitar.
24 year old Australian actress Emily Browning will play the lead role of Eve--she has had a troubled past and has been in the hospital but gradually finds her feet as she lets Cass and James into her life.
Belle and Sebastian lead singer Stuart Murdoch wrote and will direct the film
Barry Mendel will produce the film.
Production is set to get underway this month.
