Wheatley Oversees The Freakshift

Ben Wheatley ("Kill List," "Sightseers") is nearly set to direct the high concept horror flick "Freakshift" says Empire.

The story sees a world where creatures rise up at night and terrorise decent citizens, leading to a government sponsored group of thrill-seeking hunters who hunt them "for duty, sport and money."

Wheatley says the budget will be about $15 million and describes the film "like Hill Street Blues vs. Monsters".

Production hopes to begin in the first quarter of 2013.
