Clones And Sith Go Back To Back In 3-D

Lucasfilm has announced that "Star Wars" prequels "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones" and "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith"  will get back-to-back 3D theatrical re-releases early next Fall.

'Clones' hits theaters on September 20th 2013 with 'Sith' to follow three weeks later on October 11th 2013.

They follow Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace which had a 3D re-release last February taking in in an additional $102 million for little-to-no additional costs.

3D re-releases of modern classics are the new craze. 'Clones' will be battling it out for screens against the 3D re-release of "The Little Mermaid" which opens a week earlier.
