Melissa Leo has joined the the long gestating thriller "Prisoners" says Variety
Aaron Guzikowski's lauded script centers on a small-town carpenter named Keller (Hugh Jackman) whose young daughter and best friend are kidnapped. After the cops fail to find them, Keller takes the law into his own hands, but in the process runs up against the big city detective assigned to the case.
No word yet on who Leo will play.

This one's been around for quite some time folks...Over the years directors like Antoine Fuqua and Bryan Singer, and actors like Christian Bale, Mark Wahlberg Leonardo DiCaprio and even Jackman have all been attached at one point in in time. All of them dropped out for various reasons.
Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson, Kira Davis and Adam Kolbrenner will produce.
Production will begin early 2013, once Jackman completes "The Wolverine” with a November 2013 release planned.
