Singer's "Jack" Moved Up--Gets Title Tweak

Warner Bros. has once again moved the release of Bryan Singer's 3-D fantasy Jack the Giant Killer says The Hollywood Reporter

The film was originally due to come out on June 15th of this year, then it was pushed back to March 22nd 2013, now the film has now been moved up by a few weeks and will arrive on March 1st 2013.


The movie "tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack, into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend—and gets the chance to become a legend himself."

Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson, Stanley Tucci, Ian McShane, Bill Nighy and Ewan McGregor star in the film which boasts a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie, Mark Bomback, and Darren Lemke.

The suits have also decied to change the title of the flick to "Jack The Giant Slayer".
