Firth And Fassbender Are Wolfe & Perkins In "Genius"

Colin Firth and Michael Fassbender are attached to the Michael Grandage-directed true story drama "Genius" says THR.

Based on the A. Scott Berg award winning biography "Max Perkins: Editor of Genius", the story deals with the real-life tender and complex friendship between literary giant Thomas Wolfe
(Fassbender) and renowned editor Maxwell Perkins (Firth). Wolfe became famous from a young age for both his talent and larger-than-life personality. Perkins is one of the most respected literary editors of all time who discovered talent such as F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway.  While most writers struggle with their words, Wolfe had the opposite problem and butted heads with Perkins who demanded he keep to a tight word limit. It was a volatile relationship, but one that changed both their lives.

John Logan wrote the script

James Bierman is producing the film.

Production kicks off in early 2014.
