Silver Uses A "Straight Edge"

Rich Wilkes' spec script "Straight Edge" has been purchased according to Heat Vision

The action film revolves around a heist gone wrong with various characters including corrupt cops and gang bangers.

The tone and style of the script is said to be like that of the 80's movies that Silver made a name on for himslf such films as "48 Hrs." and "Lethal Weapon".

Joel Silver, Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman will produce.

It's unknown at this point if the film will go through Silver's new distribution deal at Universal Pictures or be picked up by another studio.
