Star Wars: Arndt Writes Treatment & More

Sources close to Disney/Lucasfilm suggest Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine screenwriter Michael Arndt has already drafted up a 50 page treatment mapping out the next three sci-fi adventures for the recently announced new "Star Wars" trilogy starting with “Star Wars: Episode VII" says Vulture, via THR.

So impressed are the Disney suits, word is the job for Episode VII (and most probably the whole trilogy) is Arndt’s to turn down.

The draft is said to include Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo in their later years, which may mean mean those early rumours of Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher being interested in returning could be true. No word yet if Mark Hamill could be tempted to return as Luke Skywalker...

Rumors also speculated that Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass)  and Colin Trevorrow, both personal favorites of franchise creator George Lucas are in line--Arndt's treatment is expected to cross the desks of Brad Bird, J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg. Zack Snyder is not interested...

Stay Tuned...
