The story follows Wood's character and his desperate search for an actress (Grey) who has been abducted by villain (Neil Maskell).
"Timecrimes" filmmaker Nacho Vigalondo will be making first English language film.
The high-tech, real time thriller unfolds on the screen of an internet-connected laptop with the movie screen representing a computer desktop.
The production uses twelve different types of cameras, including webcams, head cameras, tablets, mobile phones, 3D mapping cameras as well as security and satellite cameras to shoot the multi-format picture.
Vigalondo says “Just as in Brian De Palma’s Blow Out, the girl is captured. The hero will have to use every means at his disposal to discover where she is, and rescue her from the villain before its too late..."
Production kicked off this week in Madrid.
