MGM Gears Up For Hot Tub Time Machine Sequel

MGM is in the early stages of developing a sequel to the 2010 comedy "Hot Tub Time Machine," the last movie that was produced before the studio went into bankruptcy before its restructuring says Heat Vision.

The original film follows four men, bored and unhappy with their lives, who travel back in time via a hot tub to a fateful night during their teen aged years in the 1980s.

There is said to be "exploratory talks" with Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Clark Duke to reprise their roles for the follow-up, however lead star John Cusack is not involved as of yet.

Corddry could be involved in writing the film with the original film's director Steve Pink.  Things are still in very early stages, if a deal is made production would be fast-tracked.

The first film made $50 million from a $36 million budget, but became a major hit on DVD, Blu-ray and VOD.

At first glance I thought the premise of the first film was kinda dopey--but was surprised at just how entertaining and fun the original flick actually is...
