Durand Kidnaps A "Queen Of The Night"

Kevin Durand has joined the psychological thriller "Queen of the Night" says  Deadline.

The film tells the story of a couple (Ryan Reynolds and Mireille Enos) who discover a series of disturbing clues eight years after their daughter is abducted. These lead them to believe that the girl (who would now be 17 years old) is alive and they becomes determined to find her. A detective duo (Scott Speedman and Rosario Dawson) on the case share a similarly estranged relationship.

Durand will play the kidnapper in the film.

Atom Egoyan (Chloe, Where the Truth Lies) will direct the film from a script he co-wrote with David Fraser.

Egoyan will produce the pic with Simone Urdl, Jennifer Weiss and Stephen Traynor. He's currently still at work in post on The Devil's Knot.

Production kicks off in southern Ontario, next month.

Durand and Egoyan worked together on "Knot"
