Iron Man 3 New Suits & The Mandarin's Voice

The official Facebook page for Shane Black's Iron Man 3 has been busy recently offering up armor designs that will be part of the sequel

The first, Mark XXXIII, is an enhanced energy suit called "Silver Centurion". The second is the Mark XL, a hyper velocity suit called "Shotgun."

Next up we have, Mark XVII, is an artillery level RT suit called "Heartbreaker". The second is the Mark XXXVIII, a heavy lifting suit called "Igor."

The story is based on the popular six-issue mini series "Extremis" by Warren Ellis--The plot involves the spread of a virus through nanobots. Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) will battle Ben Kingsley (as the Mandarin) and Guy Pearce's characters. Drew Pearce adapted the story into a script.

We also know that thanks to the events chronicled in The Avengers Stark suffers from PTSD in the film.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau Rebecca Hall James Badge Dale Ashley Hamilton William Sadler and Chinese star Wang Xueqi co-star.

Meantime the folks at Movieline offer eviddence that Kingsley's line deliveries have been altered. In the eaely trailers the Mandarin's words seemed to draw out sometimes, in others he would roll his 'R's.

A new TV spot suggests that these odd pronunciations may have been cut-or tweaked. The final line in the ad is spoken in a noticeably different way from the trailer (you can see that by clicking here).

The film hits May 3rd 2013--also Getting an IMAX Release.
