Made on a budget of just $3 million, the supernatural hit hain $87 million worldwide.
All the key behind-the-scenes talent is expected back, including co-writer/director Scott Derrickson and co-scribe C. Robert Cargill.
The duo will also co-write the film version of the Square Enix video game "Deus Ex : Human Revolution" which Derrickson will direct.
Derrickson will also serve as producer on Sinister 2 alongside Jason Blum.
Blum is also resposible for the Paranormal Activity film series as well as Insidious and the upcoming Insidious: Chapter 2.
