Tope Tracks A Killer In "Sundown"

Relative unknown Travis Tope has landed the male lead in the remake of the 1976 horror thriler The Town That Dreaded Sundown says THR.

Addison Timlin who was cast a few weeks ago stars as Jami,”a young high schooler being raised by her grandmother who’s targeted by the mysterious killer,

Tope will play a classmate who befriends Timlin’s character and decides to make a documentary about the search for the killer.

Alfonso Gomez-Rejon will direct the remake using a script by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa,

Ryan Murphy and Jason Blum  are producing the film

The film begins shooting in May in Louisiana.
