Blades Will Manage The "Hands Of Stone"

Panamanian singer and actor Rubén Blades will join writer/director Jonathan Jakubowicz's boxing biopic drama "Hands Of Stone" says Variety.

Set during boxing’s Golden Era, Edgar Ramirez will play Panamanian champ Roberto Durán. Robert De Niro will play his trainer Ray Arcel in a story that focuses on how each man changed the life of the other, and on the incredible bouts he had with Sugar Ray Leonard-culminating in the famed fight where Duran quit in the ring crying out 'No Mas'.

 Blades will portray Duran’s manager Carlos Eleta.

Jay Weisleder and Jakubowicz will produce the film

Production begins in September in Panama.
