Saldana On "Avatar" Sequels

During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show to promote "Star Trek Into Darkness" actress Zoe Saldana confirmed reports that "Avatar 2" and Avatar 3 will be shot simultaneously:

"They're doing a part two and a part three and they're probably going to shoot it at the same time. Because if we just do two and then wait, I'll probably be 45 or 50 [years old] by the time we get to part three."

Last month we  found out that writer/director James Cameron will use underwater performance capture to continue the story.

Production is expected to begin early next year.
