Hendricks Mothers In "Measure Of A Man"

Christina Hendricks is in final talks to star in the coming-of-age film "Measure Of A Man" says Deadline.

The film is based on author Robert Lipsyte's young-adult novel "One Fat Summer". Set in the 1970s, the story follows a bullied teen (Riley Griffiths) who receives guidance from a reclusive Wall Street executive who has given him a summer job.

Hendricks will play the boy’s mother, who is undergoing marital woes sparked by her fierce independence and a new career path.

David Scearce wrote the adapted script from which Terry Loane will direct

Christian Taylor will produce the film.

Production begins this summer in Connecticut and New York.
