Spidey 2: The Return Of [SPOILER] In Photos

Someone has come back from the dead in director Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2...

SPOILER AHEAD

ComicBookMovie.com posted some spy pics from the sequel's set that mark the return of Denis Leary as Gwen's Dad Captain Stacy decked out in his blood soaked police uniform. You will recall he died battling the Lizard (Rhys Ifans) during the climax of The Amazing Spider-Man

The context of his return is not yet known but I think it's safe to assume that our hero has a flashback that will remind the audience that he promised Stacy that he would keep his daughter safe by staying away from her...

Peter and Gwen's High School graduation pics reveals that he seems to have done otherwise.... But if I were in Pete's shoes and had the chance to date/kiss Gwen I woulda stuck around too!!!

The site also has pics of Spidey's co-creator Stan Lee filming his cameo.

Andrew Garfield will return as Peter Parker and Emma Stone is gonna reprise her role as Gwen Stacy.

Shailene Woodley has won the role of Mary Jane Watson, the perennial red-headed love interest of Pater Parker in the Spidey comics. The role was previously played by Kirsten Dunst in director Sam Raimi's Spider-Man Trilogy. Dane DeHaan ("Chronicle") has won the role of Harry Osborn Osborn of course is Peter Parker's best friend and eventual enemy who was played by James Franco previously.Jamie Foxx will be playing bad guy Electro. Paul Giamatti plays the villain, the Rhino Chris Cooper has been cast as Norman Osborn--who eventually becomes Spidey's number one foe--The Green Goblin--The character was played previously by Willem Dafoe Felicity Jones (Like Crazy), has an undisclosed role in the film. Former Office star B.J. Novak has an unspecified role in the film.

Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner are writing the script based on a previous draft by James Vanderbilt.

Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach will produce.

The new film is now in production to meet its May 2nd 2014 release date.

  1. He was the only thing I liked about The Amazing Spiderman! Thank God the characters are "graduating." Stone and Garfield playing high schoolers is kind of laughable.
