Depp And Koepp Reunite on "Mortdecai"

Johnny Depp is in talks to star in the action adventure "Mortdecai" says Heat Vision.

Based on the late author Kyril Bonfiglioli's 1970's book series "The Great Mortdecai Moustache Mystery" Depp will play a debonair art dealer and part-time rogue. The character traverses the globe in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold. There are angry Russians, British spies, an international terrorist and his wife thrown in the mix as well.

Eric Aronson is writing the adapted screenplay for director David Koepp. He directed Johnny in Secret Window.

Depp, Christi Dembrowski and Andrew Lazar will produce the pic

It's good to see that Depp has not let the flop that is "The Lone Ranger" slow him down.
