Derrickson Keen On Magary's "The Postmortal"

"Sinister" director Scott Derrickson is prepping a film adaptation of author Drew Magary "The Postmortal" (aka. "The End Specialist").

Magary (pictured) recently took to Twitter to say that Derrickson had picked up the film rights.

The story is set in the near future, a time when a cure for aging is discovered and made available to people worldwide - effectively making them immortal aside from sickness and/or injury.

This new world also has its own problems including government euthanasia programs and disturbing religious cults.

The story focuses on a man who recently decided to take The Cure and must now determine how to live his life.

Derrickson's next film is the demonic cop thriller "Beware The Night".
