The story revolves around Harvard University-bound Danny (Graham Phillips) and his unambitious best friend Frank (Zack Pearlman) who decide to work as lifeguards during their summer before college.
DeLuca will play Anthony Dibuono, a young, hunky Italian lifeguard whose dream of joining the Navy seems unlikely until he forms a partnership with Danny that proves beneficial for both parties
Ashley Greene will play a member of the pool club and the daughter of an overly protected mobster.
Rhys Thomas is directing the film using a screenplay written by Saturday Night Live head writer Colin Jost.
Lorne Michaels will produce the film.
Production is slated to begin later this week in New York.
