Additionally Anders’ Millers co-writer John Morris has joined the project as an executive producer. Recently the pair performed a rewrite on the HB2 script initially penned by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the screenwriters behind the first film.
Anders and Morris were in contention for the job with such names as Greg Daniels, Etan Cohen and Todd Strauss-Schulson, according to sources.
The sequel apparently will have a new set of bosses, but there is as yet no word yet whether any of the original bosses will reprise their roles.
Stars Jason Bateman, Charlie Day Jason Sudeikis and Jamie Foxx are now confirmed to return for the film.
No timetable was given for when production would get underway
