Stockard Takes Over Script For Ben And Matt's Bulger Biopic

Deadline reports that "The Town" and "Gone Baby Gone" writer Aaron Stockard will re-teaming with director Ben Affleck for an as yet Untitled Biopic about the notorious Boston mobster James "Whitey" Bulger.

Bulger was betrayed by the FBI after he became an informant to bring down a rival crime family. Bulger was captured in June 2011 in Santa Monica following a 16-year manhunt. He was recently found guilty.

Matt Damon will star as Bulger and will produce the film with Affleck

Terence Winter had worked on previous drafts of the screenplay.

The project isn't to be confused with Barry Levinson's rival Bulger project "Black Mass"--based on the book by Dick Lehr and Gerard O'Neill.

The untitled biopic won't be happening for a long while due to Affleck's busy schedule.
